JEFF CRANK: DOGE IS ESSENTIAL WHEN YOU’RE $36 TRILLION IN DEBT “President Obama tried to cut waste, fraud and abuse, and he had people who he appointed to go out and find that.  And I didn't see people gnashing their teeth over that one.  So it's kind of funny that all of a sudden they're doing it over Elon Musk.  It doesn't seem unreasonable to me that the President could have an advisor who comes in and tells him how to make government more efficient and lean.  Democrats and Republicans should welcome that opportunity.  Overall, when you're $36 trillion in debt, a scalpel isn't enough.  You probably do need to get a bigger tool. We spend far more than we take in every day in the United States of America.
