🇱🇧🇮🇱 Israeli Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, wants Netanyahu to go full scorched-earth on Lebanon in retaliation for Hezbollah's continued attacks on Israel: "The firing toward the northern settlements is a test of the Dahiya doctrine that the Prime Minister declared. I call on him to implement it with determination and force and to demolish buildings in Dahiya today as well." The Dahiya doctrine, named after the Hezbollah stronghold in south Beirut, is a strategy that targets civilian infrastructure with excessive force to compel opponents to concede.
