🇮🇷 Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf is signaling the strike on Beirut has poisoned the deal talks. He says the Israeli incursion into Dahiyeh shows the U.S. "either lacks the will to fulfill its commitments or the ability to do so." "By giving the green light to the regime, you cannot gain concessions. The game of bad cop and good cop is outdated. If you lack the will and ability to fulfill your commitments, speaking of continuing the path is not possible." The strike was Israel's, but Ghalibaf's anger is aimed squarely at the U.S., and at the deal it was supposed to deliver. Source: @mb_ghalibaf / Writer: Julie

🇮🇱🇱🇧 Latest reports say Israel barely gave the U.S. a heads-up before hitting Beirut. Israeli and U.S. officials claim the IDF notified CENTCOM shortly before the strike. A last-second heads-up isn't the same as a green light. Sources: @BarakRavid / Writer: Julie
