Crime Good move by Secretary Rubio to begin to crack down on the gangs that are running Haiti by declaring the worst of them terrorist organizations. It is time to take back our country and our region from control by narco gangs. We have let this spin out of control, taking us back to a time here when the Al Capones ran the country until the FBI was expanded to deal with the problem. Nearly 100,000 Americans are dying each year from drug overdoses (more than killed in the Ukraine or Gaza conflicts). The open border policy of the last four years was exploited by gangs and other criminal elements to allow them to set up shop in America. We need to move to shut them down, retake Haiti from criminals, deal with a Venezuelan government now run by criminals which everyone seems to have forgotten (president Maduro and 14 leaders were all indicted in 2020). Of course the New York Times and Miami Herald suggest moving on gangs is a bad thing: “The move is likely to worsen an already dire humanitarian crisis in Haiti, experts said, since gangs control much of the country’s economy and infrastructure…” according to the NYT. Apparently “experts” think gang control, killings and massacres are only made worse by starting to rein them in. Remember Haiti is the country that got $6 billion in international “aid” after a 2010 earthquake. This should be a bipartisan effort to make America safer and clean up the growing regional gang control of neighboring countries. Looks like Rubio is going to start acting here rather than just watch on the sidelines.
