🧵Casualty Overview - Dar Al-Arqam School Strike (03-APR-2025) Strikes on former school buildings that have been repurposed as shelters are sensitive, given the likelihood of civilian presence. In this case, around 30 fatalities were reported, but no official list of names was released a highly unusual detail. The IDF stated that the strike targeted a Hamas command center operating from within the facility. Because of the nature of the site, claims like this need to be verified and looked at closely. I decided to look into the reported fatalities myself. This analysis is based entirely on open sources, mainly mourning posts on social media. I compiled a full list of names, which matches the total number of fatalities reported by Palestinian sources. I also categorized the victims (see attached image) Red🔴 marks those identified as combatants (7 in total), based on posts by their friends and relatives. Yellow 🟡marks their family members who were killed with them. Follow the thread for method explanations and an analysis of each killed individual.
