XFP is a recombinant of LF.7 (descended from JN.1.16.1) and LS.2 (descended from JN.1.18.5). The earliest XFP sample was reported from Washington DC, in mid-March. Almost all the US samples detected since have been International Travellers arriving from India. 🧵
