I appreciate Governors like Gavin Newsom thinking outside of the box on gun reform, like his idea proposing a 28th Amendment that would ban access to assault weapons and raise the age of ownership to 21. Will some Republicans HATE it because they're owned by the NRA? Absolutely. But more of us, DEMs, Republicans, and Independents, are looking for action and leadership, and we care that kids are being gunned down in schools and stores and everywhere. And it's better than doing nothing. We need more Governors like Newsom.
