In September 13, 1993 the world celebrated signing Oslo accords between Israel and the PLO. As a result of the Oslo accord between Israel and the PLO the Palestinian Authority was established, the PLO militias became police, thousands of Palestinian terrorists were released from Israeli prisons, checkpoint were removed, the Palestinian economy thrived and Palestinians were this close to achieve their statehood, if it wasn’t for Yasir Arafat’s poor judgement and lack of experience as a statesman. He may have succeeded in globalizing the intifadas. But in the real world he failed to transform his conflicted militias into a nation. Current Palestinian leaders have been following their master’s footsteps, repeating big mistakes, terrorists and anarchists thrive in chaos, why would they strive for order and progress? They have been conditioned to be served not visa versa. And Palestinians’ self inflicted wounds can easily be traced back to poor judgment driven by hatred. Israel must avoid repeating Oslo mistakes. Future Palestinian governing authority should be totally disarmed and their economy conditioned by peaceful behavior.
