The Argentinians' claim to the Falklands is so funny because they are basically descendants of European settlers who refuse to accept that the descendants of other European settlers (living on islands 500 km off the coast of Argentina) can choose for themselves which flag they actually want to live under. This is nothing more than imperialism under the banner of "anti-colonialism" and anyone humoring it is just going to end up endorsing the same type of irredentism elsewhere
