At Tuesday’s protest for Palestine, hosted inside the Yale Hillel (the @slifka.center) Hillel staff members told me and other Jewish students that we couldn’t film. Hillel staff went so far as to go through students phones to delete videos and pictures to hide the evidence. When I asked a Hillel staff member, as heard in this video, if the protestors were allowed to be there and if Slifka gave them permission she replied “they are allowed to be here” and “anyone can be inside the building.” These students are responsible for last year’s encampments and we’re calling to “end the occupation,” “from New Haven to Gaza.”
