⚡️ Russian forces have lost around 240 km² near Lyman, effectively wiping out a key offensive bridgehead After several months of Ukrainian counterattacks, Russian troops were pushed back by roughly 240 km², according to OSINT analyst Clément Molin @clement_molin. The assessment was later backed by Rochan Consulting and the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). The setback disrupted Moscow’s attempt to build a northern axis for pressure on the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk urban area. ISW has also reported a serious deterioration in the Russian position. Some pro-war Russian channels say the salient north of Lyman has effectively collapsed, while individual units may have been cut off from ground supply routes. The exact front line is still being clarified. What makes the situation even more striking is that Russian military bloggers are once again blaming “systemic lies in reports to higher command” and a distorted picture of the battlefield.
