One of the dumber lies that people desperate to defend the indefensible have latched onto is that there's no relevant difference between public communication by a powerful national official, such as a Supreme Court Justice, and public communication by an average citizen.

Limiting the freedom of the government is not the same as limiting freedom. Also, didn't we just have a whole news cycle about how flying any other flag is Insurrection?
