Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani
Today, I was proud to join New Yorkers for the 9/11 Day of Service at the Intrepid Museum. September 11th is a day we remember the terror and loss our city endured. It is also a day we remember the extraordinary courage, kindness and generosity New Yorkers showed one another. We remember the first responders who rushed into the fire, civilians who gave their time and expertise, neighbors who cooked meals and checked in on one another, and a city that came together to weather our darkest day. As we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11, one of the best ways we can honor them is by carrying that spirit of service forward.
