In January, when the blockbuster wave of reports hit about mass @UNRWA involvement in Oct 7 attacks, and countries started freezing their funding, I said this at the time: “UNRWA is one of the biggest impediments to peace, full stop. It has become an indistinguishable arm of Hamas and an incubator for relentless antisemitism and incitement. It's time to #defundUNRWA and abolish it altogether once and for all." 9 months later, I not only stand by every word I said then, I believe the case for UNRWA disbandment is even more clearer and urgent today.
