The polling shows that: - 76% of Jewish Israelis believe "there are no innocents in Gaza". - 82% support expelling the entire Palestinian population of Gaza - 56% support expelling all Palestinian citizens of Israel - 47% support killing all civilians when an "enemy city" is conquered It is a fact that Israel is in the grip of genocidal mania. There are courageous Jewish Israelis who oppose this - but they are courageous because they are so isolated. Only 2% think too much firepower has been used on Gaza! And are you suggesting that the genocide in Gaza and broader Israeli war crimes are the actions of a "few"? It's the Israeli state and conscript army which has committed these crimes - with the willing mass support of the population. This is a fact, and it is deceit to claim otherwise. It's not about "demonisation". It's about being hard-headed about reality and not sowing illusions that change will happen within - rather than through huge external pressure. As for comparing Israeli and Palestinian attitudes. Would this approach be applied to Ukraine and Russia? Do you think anti-Ukrainian sentiment in Russia and anti-Russian sentiment in Ukraine are the same or do you think there is a dynamic which matters? And even this isn't a good comparison because Palestine doesn't exist as a state and doesn't have any conventional military capacity.
