The blue stripes on Israel's flag evoke a tallit. Are tallitot racist symbols too? Are menorahs? There's one on Israel's national emblem. If you call Jewish symbols racist because Israel appropriates them you're no longer just condemning Israel. You're condemning Judaism.

Sadly, Zionism has made the Star of David a racist, genocidal symbol, just as Nazis synonymized swastikas with antisemitism. It’d be seen as a provocation if someone in a red swastika hat entered a Jewish shop, even if he was Hindu. The guy in the Israeli-blue hat knows this.
