A 2-3°C jump in temperatures in a matter of centuries is unprecedented in recent geological history, but even that level of warming depends on cloud and carbon cycle feedbacks playing nice with us, otherwise it will be even worse.

New CMIP7 scenarios have been proposed. We already knew this but… Major reductions in global GHG emissions are required SOON to avoid surpassing 2C of (average) global warming. Most likely trajectory takes us to between 2C-3C by 2100.
