From early data using MENSA, “about 42% were positive in the Long COVID group for SARS-CoV-2. And you can see the herpesviruses were picking up another 60%.” Accounting for patients in which both persistent viruses were detected, these early findings totalled 70% of LC participants demonstrating an active, chronic infection detected by MENSA. 5/

In serum, the percentage of people with SARS-CoV-2, EBV and CMV across all groups looks similar. However, using MENSA, there is a distinctly different pattern showing 42% of Long COVID patients were positive for active SARS-CoV-2, versus only 5% of those who recovered from COVID. Similarly, 53% of Long COVID patients were positive for active EBV, with only 11% of COVID-recovered controls showing positivity.
