A group of extremists in Ireland had intel on Israelis travelling to Dublin and targeted them for assault. They went to their hotel bar in Dublin, spit at them and screamed at them that they weren’t welcome in Ireland. All of the other people in the bar, in bourgeois Dún Laoghaire, said nothing and just let it happen. After they were the victims of this assault, one of the men subsequently received a tirade of abuse on his social media. Hundreds of Irish people went onto his page to comment and message him with threats and vitriol. How much worse are things going to get before we are finally ready to admit that we have an antisemitism problem?
