I have a few questions for those calling for a “permanent” ceasefire (distinct from the 6-week pause that Israel accepted and Hamas rejected). Can you guarantee that Hamas will never attempt a repeat of October 7th? If the answer is ‘no’, then what exactly is “permanent”?
