@rflaherty71 @AgileJebrim Let's say the node itself is 16 bytes. Unique pointer is +8 bytes. Allocator adds likely 8-16 bytes. Your memory usage is at least 2x, likely 3x versus optimal. Plus all the memory you lose with heap fragmentation. And performance hit is significant due to random indirection.
