The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has stated that they are observing an “Extremely Dangerous Development” on the Israel-Lebanon Border, with them stating that the Israel Defense Force is beginning to conduct Operations near their Positions adjacent to the Village of Maroun al-Ras in Southern Lebanon. The Mission states that this Operation is “Compromising the Safety of its Peacekeepers” who are carrying out Security Council mandated Tasks.
