Every single time in Gaza that the local Hamas-run authorities allege a massacre took place, it ends up being smoke and mirrors, where they purposely pump out false numbers to create headlines and get the UN and other countries to condemn...and then later it turns out the numbers are much lower and many casualties are likely Hamas members.

The Hamas-run health ministry in the Gaza Strip says the current death toll in an early morning IDF strike in the Khan Younis area is 19. Earlier, Hamas's civil defense and government media office claimed that 40 people were killed in the strike, a toll that Israel has disputed. The Hamas health ministry says more than 60 others are wounded, and the death toll may rise as some victims are still under the rubble and sand. The IDF says it targeted three senior Hamas commanders.
