Stop. This is the second time I’ve heard this false analogy between a vigilante revenge scenario, domestic law enforcement, and the conduct of war on @joeroganhq—this time from @ComicDaveSmith: “Let's say somebody broke into your property and killed some of your family members and you want to go kill this guy. If he goes back to his apartment building and you know that there's women and children in that apartment building and so your move is to blow up the building. What you would be charged with is murder in the first degree cold-blooded premeditated intentional murder...” This is not how war works. It’s not how the laws of armed conflict work. It’s not how just war theory, military ethics, or rules of engagement work. None of it. This analogy reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of warfare and the frameworks that govern it—legal, ethical, and operational. Ironically, in that same episode, he and @DouglasKMurray debated who qualifies as an expert and who should be making declarative statements about certain wars. That question answers itself. https://bird.makeup/@douglaskmurray/1910428507739484400
