People who use the term neo-con are mostly ignoramuses. They’ve no idea of the history of the word or its meaning. A neo-con was a Democrat who rejected the leftwing extremism and pacifism of their party and became mostly conservative Republicans who backed Ronald Reagan. Their intellectuals played an important role in helping to defeat the Soviet Union. For the Neanderthals who keep throwing around the term because they’re looking to create a pejorative to smear people who they’re incapable of substantively engaging, you’re proving to be good little Marxist propagandists like Bernie Sanders.
