The Thresher King
The comments are rife with morons who, having the benefit of watching this on a 4" screen, think they would have done a better job than people trained to deal with these scenarios. I was trained to disarm knife-bearing attackers. Some of the knife bearing attackers I trained with were actually formally trained to use knives to unalive people. At one point we spent 3 whole days (literally from 0830hrs to 2100hrs) drilling while some guy recorded us using a VHS-C handicam, then rewatching the footage, critiquing, evaluating, adjusting methods and scenarios, and redrilling. The inescapable conclusion after 3 days of knife drills? Even a spastic gelatinous mass of untrained chubbery had a 90% + chance of causing grievous bodily injury. (We had these cool marker knifes that left red and blue streaks anywhere they contacted.) 40% of those could be fatal when evaluated with respect to underlying structures such as arteries, airways, nerves, or organs. Do you know what our final decision at the end of 3 days was? If a knife wielding attacker presents even an minimally credible threat, magdump center mass, then go home and cry on your wife's perfect bosoms about how you had to kill someone while your kids ask what's wrong with daddy. Because you may live to regret having made a life or death decision, but it's more important that you live.

I'm sorry but of course this is a good shoot. This woman murdered a random bystander and injured another. She posed an obvious, deadly threat, and officers were not required to look for less than lethal options under the circumstance.
