'AI safety and cybersecurity have long been two different worlds' Digital Security and Safety isn't too different worlds, it's not rocket science to work this out. We don't have a Computer Misuse Act and then a different AI Misuse Act..... we don't have different physics. It's all processes running on computers and network communications + humans. AI safety seems to have been invented as some kind of 'extra' subject which doesn't actually.. make much safe... let alone secure.

The OpenAI–Hugging Face incident has AI safety and cybersecurity experts arguing over what went wrong — and who has the better playbook for what comes next.
