🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 | 𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗨𝗭 | 𝗛𝗠𝗠 𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗨 BLUF: The Panama-flagged general cargo ship HMM Namu (IMO: 1039292), operated by South Korean shipping company Hyundai Merchant Marine, sustained an explosion and fire in the engine room at approximately 8:40 PM local time while anchored near the UAE coast. All 24 crew members, 6 South Korean nationals and 18 foreign nationals, are confirmed safe. Cause is unconfirmed. South Korean authorities are investigating whether the damage was caused by a USV or a drifting sea mine.
