Arsenal and England legend Ian Wright criticized the United States' handling of the upcoming Club World Cup after Somalia’s top referee, Omar Artan, was denied entry to the country. ￭ Speaking ahead of the tournament's kickoff on Thursday, Wright described it as a “World Cup of chaos,” pointing to record-high ticket prices, costly accommodation, soaring transport expenses, and racist state repression. ￭ Questioning whether the US is acting like a proper host, Wright asked: “For the greatest game, the greatest tournament in the world, is this how the hosts behave?”
