Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Qassem, Head of the Council of Palestinian Scholars, told VPol in Tehran, Iran, amid the ongoing funeral processions of martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, that Iran has not abandoned Palestine nor the Palestine cause, affirming that it has supported Palestinian resistance militarily and financially. ￭ He added that the Islamic Revolution in Iran does not look through the liberation struggle with a sectarian lens, considering Palestinian Muslims are Sunni.
