A suffocating blanket of dust engulfed Deir Mimas and the Nabatiyeh region after the Israeli occupation detonated what Israeli media claimed were “around 700 tonnes of explosives” near the Beaufort Castle area in South Lebanon. ■ Yedioth Ahronoth claimed the massive demolition allegedly targeted an underground tunnel network” near al-Shaqif. ■ The force of the explosions shook the surrounding region and sent dense clouds of dust across Deir Mimas, exposing the scale of the occupation’s ongoing destruction and domicide across South Lebanon under the pretext of dismantling military sites. ■ The IOF continues to occupy swaths of South Lebanon and conduct mass demolitions that have repeatedly destroyed civilian homes, infrastructure, and entire villages across the South, with the Lebanese authorities claiming they are “in the process” of using “diplomacy” to “force Israel’s withdrawal.” (If you are the owner of any content featured in this video, please contact us so that we may provide proper attribution.)
