British taxpayers subsidized “therapeutic healing” for IOF soldiers who committed genocide in Gaza, with the UK government adding 25% in Gift Aid tax relief to donations channeled through a British charity, according to a Declassified UK investigation. ￭The Israeli Yahalom Foundation, which supports soldiers from the IOF’s elite engineering unit deployed throughout Gaza, directed British donors to UK Toremet, a registered British charity, to enable Gift Aid. Fundraising projects included a £5,000 “therapeutic healing journey” for soldiers returning from Gaza and a £100,000 memorial hall. ￭ UK Toremet confirmed it gave money to the Yahalom Foundation for PTSD treatment, arguing that mental-health care qualifies as charitable under English law. However, it denied being the foundation's “partner platform.” ￭ The Charity Commission has previously warned that it is “not lawful, or acceptable, for a charity to raise funds to support a soldier of a foreign military.” ￭ The investigation follows a Charity Commission inquiry into eight UK charities over alleged links to illegal Israeli settlements. UK Toremet has declined to confirm whether it is among those being investigated.
