NSW Health followed a procedure most employees undertake, asking for prior legal names to check criminal records, etc. This woman is working with children after all. But in this case it has been ruled as illegal because it has hurt the woman’s feelings. The legal protections for children have been sacrificed for the sake of her feelings. Once upon a time in Australia facts, evidence and reality ruled supreme, but not anymore. The feelings of trans identified individuals trumps all. And watch out if you fall foul of this new religion because you will be harshly penalised. Law and health ought to be firmly grounded in reality. But NCAT says otherwise.
