It seems that DeFLuQE KP.3.1.1 is only for USA and Europe. Chinese XDV.1 doesn't need FLiRT or FLuQE, it only has S:F456L. (and S:S60P for XDV.1.1) India experiences KP.2.3 followed by MB.1.1 wave, which is DeFLiRT followed by TN-FViRT.

Exactly. We would not be having such a large increase in cases if only the FLiRT variants were around. This wave's driven by S31del and Q493E. (F456L has been universal for quite some time now, which is why it's a very good thing FDA recommended it for the updated vaccines.)
