RE.1.1 is another BA.3.2.2 descendant that climbs to the top in growth rate. It is growing fast in Australia, not as fast as RE.2.2 in Europe, but indeed the fastest variant in Australia.

The only BA.3.2.* sub-lineage detected in Australia has been RE.1.1. That seems slower than its cousin RE.2.2, which is accelerating sharply across Europe. It seems Australia is indeed "The Lucky Country", and yes, I know and understand the full context of that phrase. 🧵
