My guess as to why we're seeing low turnout at the RNC/DNC Israel protests: The Uncommitted movement shrewdly took credit for every "uncommitted" vote cast in the Democratic primary, claiming all of them as support for their cause. But some ~7-10% of people vote uncommitted every primary with an incumbent, so in actuality, many of those discontented voters weren't voting on Gaza. And we now know that Biden was uniquely unpopular among base Democrats due to concerns over his age. Swap him out, much discontent evaporates, and you get smaller DNC/RNC Gaza protests than anticipated, because expectations were set based on a misreading of the disaffection in the primary.
