I would gently suggest that the reason resolutions like these can get every country in the UN to sign on, including mortal enemies, is that they are completely pointless and a waste of finite international time and resources and embody why the UN has become so irrelevant.

The U.S. was the ONLY country at the UN to vote against a resolution declaring an International Day of Hope. Even Ukraine-Russia, North Korea-South Korea and Israel-Lebanon could agree on it.
