The Western response to the Taliban? Embarrassing. Repulsive. A disgrace. Calling terrorists “brothers”, pretending they’re legitimate leaders, ignoring their vile obsession with controlling women—this is not diplomacy, it’s complicity. The Taliban are not “better” than they were in the 90s. They’re worse. Their ideology hasn’t changed, and their cruelty has only escalated. How much longer will the international community enable these atrocities? Enough. The time for empty words and blind diplomacy is over. Women in Afghanistan can’t wait any longer.
