As we note the media's role in creating an environment in which continued demonization contributes to antisemitic terror attacks, consider this slanderous take by former State Dept spokesman Matthew Miller. He states a personal opinion as fact - that IDF soldiers are committing war crimes - while acknowledging that the US government (under @JoeBiden and @POTUS @realDonaldTrump) has not concluded the same. And he offers no evidence, case study or instance of this accusation. Sometimes even blood libels can come from inside the tent. By the way, in answering the question about whether "what's going on in Gaza is a genocide" with a heavy sigh and then "I don't think so, but...", it's pretty clear what you actually think. He also says it's an "open question" if Israel is "acting in a way that aids and abets war crimes". How about we make it a closed question @SpencerGuard @HausdorffMedia @Ostrov_A @jconricus @HilzFuld @EVKontorovich

Nearly five months after leaving office, former State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told Sky’s Mark Stone on the Trump 100 podcast that it is “without a doubt true that Israel has committed war crimes in Gaza” — but added that “in almost every major conflict… you see individual members of the military committing war crimes.” Miller stressed this was his personal view, not the U.S. government’s, and noted Washington has not formally found Israel responsible. He also dismissed accusations of genocide but admitted he wished more had been done to pressure for a ceasefire between May and mid-January 2025, when thousands of Palestinian civilians were killed.
