I try not to argue with anti-Zionist Jews. They live in hope. I hope their hope is justified. I mean, who knows? America has been kinder and safer than anywhere else ever. Maybe Zionism really is a luxury over there. And if so, long may it be so. But the abuse Peter draws from them when he asks them to distinguish between Judaism and Israel - to allow him the space to continue to fight for them - is quite something. It’s almost as though he and they share a political vocabulary but mean radically different things by it. What can I say? I wish him luck. We’ll be here for him if it doesn’t work out. Always and forever. Because Zionism.

The blue stripes on Israel's flag evoke a tallit. Are tallitot racist symbols too? Are menorahs? There's one on Israel's national emblem. If you call Jewish symbols racist because Israel appropriates them you're no longer just condemning Israel. You're condemning Judaism.
