A great deal of this is simply true. There’s too much credit to Netanyahu personally. He has caved to pressure constantly throughout this period - sometimes to the Americans, sometimes to coalition partners. He was not the stiff backbone of this government. He’s been one of the reasons so many of these successes were so long delayed. But if you substitute Netanyahu for Israel writ large, this is all correct.
